I think I can safely say, my grandparents are to blame. My grandma Berry never really got over the great depression and being homeless, so she held on to EVERYTHING. My grandpa Berry worked with his hands every day of this life. He built his house, brick by brick. He could fix most things. He rewired oil lamps to convert them to electric.

And then there's me. While I don't hold on to everything, I do have a habit of collecting things that "I just know I'll use later". And bottles. I love bottles. Maybe it's the recovering alcoholic in me, though most of my bottles and jars having nothing to do with alcohol. And I love working with my hands. Few things bring me greater satisfaction than building something from scratch, or taking something plain and making it....lovely.
